: FAQ
Where and when will the World Youth Peace Summit be held?

A venue and dates for the World Youth Peace Summit will be decided upon shortly.

Prior to the World Summit, the regional summits we are planning for include Africa, South America, and The Middle East.

For more details, please contact us at info@wyps.org

How are candidates selected for the World Youth Peace Summit?
It is not necessary that all candidates currently be engaged in peace-making activities. What is important is that delegates have a desire to work for peace from now on. Therefore, we are seeking youth leaders who are willing and able to make a commitment to actively implement the Youth Action Plan and support the post-summit structure. Youth leaders between the ages of 15 and 35 who would like to apply for invitation to the World Youth Peace Summit should contact the WYPS Secretariat for more information. The WYPS Secretariat will also invite the nomination of suitably qualified youth leaders, from all sectors of society. Attendance to the World Summit will be by invitation only.

To apply for the World Summit, please click here to complete our online application form.

What is the World Council of Religious Leaders and what role do they play?

The World Council of Religious Leaders (WCRL) is an outcome of the Millennium World Peace Summit and was created to continue the mission of the summit. The World Youth Peace Summit (WYPS) is affiliated with the World Council of Religious Leaders and the Secretary-General of WCRL, Mr Bawa Jain, is also the Chairman of WYPS.

While we do have young people from many religions in our network, it is no kind of pre-condition for involvement. Our events do feature interfaith dialogues and discussions about the contribution the wisdoms of all faiths can play in global peace.
